Widget Locations
The Photoslurp for WooCommerce plugin allows you to place widgets in the following locations of your store:
- Home page
- Category pages
- Product pages
- Lookbook (landing) pages
- Any additional location where your theme allows you to place a WordPress short code (e.g. order confirmation page).
Based on our customer's results we strongly recommend integrating a carousel widget in the product pages as a bare minimum, and since all of our packages include unlimited widgets, we encourage you to be creative and experiment placing widgets throughout all your customer's shopping journey.
Adding Widgets to WooCommerce
Once you are done configuring a widget and it looks and behaves the way you want, copy your widget ID by clicking on the copy icon next to it. Now head back to your WooCommerce dashboard where you should see a 'Photoslurp' entry in the sidebar menu. Click on the menu entry and then click the button 'Add Photoslurp widget' at the top of the window to configure a new widget in your store. Next, you'll have to enter your user name, then paste in the ID that you copied from the widget editor into the field labelled "Widget ID", and configure the remaining settings to suit your preference:

In case you need it, it's possible to add custom CSS under the "Custom CSS" tab.
A menu on the right sidebar will also appear featuring different ways of inserting the widget, including a shortcode that you can paste on the HTML code of any WordPress page.
Methods for inserting the widget
- As a short code: On Photoslurp's menu, select the widget that you want to add. Copy the short code that will appear on the right sidebar. Then, go to the Pages menu, select the page in which you want to insert the widget and click on Edit. Switch to the HTML view of the code by clicking on the "HTML" tab, and paste the short code that you copied earlier in your desired location.
- As a WordPress widget: Go to Appearance -> Widgets. On widget list on the left, select "Photoslurp Widgets" and add it to your desired sidebar. Then, select which widget you want to insert in the dropdown list.
- Product/Category pages: Widgets that have been set as type "Product" or "Category" will automatically appear on their corresponding pages as long as the option "Show on product/category pages" has been activated. For category pages, you can even select which ones will display the widget and which ones won't.
